An SDR is a vital role in your business in order to bridge the gap between leads and appointments.
Over the past 4 years, Prospect Bacon has worked with over 500 solar companies, so we see what works and what doesn't. Giving leads to reps doesn't work. Period. End of sentence. Don't do it. The role of appointment setter, or SDR, is a full-time job, with an entirely different skillset and mindset than a sales rep. As we will learn later in Speed to Lead, in order to be successful with online leads you need someone who can be at the ready to respond to leads within one minute. If a salesrep is out knocking doors, driving to appointments, or in the home closing, how can he/she do that?
